About Alan Beveridge, Director of Entrepreneurial Studies at Mesa Community College
Alan Beveridge is a full-time faculty member and Director of Entrepreneurial Studies at Mesa Community College within the Maricopa County Community College District. With a strong background in economic development and education, he has taught business, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and project management for over eight years at Maricopa, as well as entrepreneurship and venture finance at Grand Canyon University. Previously, he served as Business Development Manager for the Neighborhood Economic Development Corp. and Director of Strategic Legacies in Chandler, AZ. An MCC alumnus, Alan holds a public administration degree from Northern Arizona University and a master’s in real estate development from Arizona State University. He is currently a doctoral candidate at Grand Canyon University, focusing on organizational leadership and development, with a dissertation on philanthropy and economic development, expecting completion in Fall 2025. Passionate about community impact, he builds public-private and philanthropic partnerships to support entrepreneurship and sustainable business growth. Certified as a CEcD and EDP by the International Economic Development Council, Alan is active in groups like the Arizona Association of Economic Developers, Green Building Educational Council, and Urban Land Institute.
