Mesa Chamber Healthcare Committee

The Healthcare Committee was designed to gather healthcare stakeholders within the Mesa Chamber and address issues shared among the aging population. With appearances made by subject matter experts, local healthcare providers are able to gather relevant information and identify pressing matters within the community.

Did you know that approximately 29,000 units of red blood cells are needed for patients in hospitals, surgical centers, and emergency treatment facilities every day in the United States? Join the Mesa Chamber Healthcare Committee as Vitalant covers the impact of blood donation, the blood donation process, and what each person can do to help to save lives.

Additionally, come learn from Copa Health on their collaborative community effort in "Building Resiliency in Mental Health." Copa will share more information on this ongoing effort and identify multiple ways for interested individuals and organizations to engage.

Vitalant is Arizona’s largest non-profit independent blood provider that fulfills patient transfusion needs for 62 Arizona hospitals with more than 600 blood donors every day. Vitalant is the sole provider for 100% of the blood transfusion needs for hospitals in 11 of the 15 Arizona counties, including Maricopa.
